About me
Hello there!

My name is Martin and this is my home on the interweb.
In real life I live together with my beloved wife and son in a 100 years old log house in the forest near Misso, 300km away from Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. A few extra kilometers and you would be in Latvia or Russia!
Even though I don’t consider myself a very social person I am trying to help others do the same – by figuring out how information technology can give everybody some more free time and less stress so that they could do the same – concentrate more on the real life and stuff that really matters – family, friends, yourself, good mental and physical health etc.
I am the driving force behind the guerilla open source software consultancy Ideelabor. I’m also known for my work with electronic identity, like the Estonian ID-card driver and OpenSC project and thee Estonian OpenID service, openid.ee. From time to time I have also been a casual workaholic for big companies in the telco and IT services industry.
If you want to keep up with my doings then you can subscribe to my blog (I post both in English and Estonian) or follow @martinpaljak on Twitter.
I usually rant about anything that happens to bother me long enough.
This includes me myself, software, people, life in general.
Remember – you only live one life once!
